We do not ship plants.
We do not sell seeds. We collect most of our own seed and cannot collect, clean, or store enough to market.
We grow most everything from seed. And it takes time to produce mature plants. We also have times where our seed crop or seed germination was a failure. We do listen to your request and try to prioritize plants that are in demand.
Yes! We do not use systematic pesticides. Our strongest used pesticide is horticultural soap, but it is only used in our greenhouses. Once plants are moved outside, we prefer to manually pick pest, such as aphids, or sacrifice the plant entirely. We also practice prevention methods such as keeping same-genus plants separated into different greenhouses. We occasionally sell plants with caterpillars attached to their host plant.
Yes! Most of our seed is collected in Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair, and Talladega Counties. We do have a seed source for wild collected seed in the Tennessee Valley/Moulton Valley region, the Etowah/Dekalb County area, Tuscaloosa/Bibb County area, and Randolph County area. And some of our seed sources include other native nurseries in Georgia and Tennessee. We know all our plants from seed to finish.
Always! Some of our seed collectors are also our customers. We are always open to new seed or plant selections to increase diversity.
We do! You can purchase them online from our Available Plants page or the Home page of our website.
Yes! We are open by appointment during the winter season (December-February).
Simply call, email, or send us a message on one of our social media platforms.
We sell out of plants quickly and we are growing 11 months out of the year. Keeping the availability list current helps you plan your visit based around our offerings or your wish list.
We accept cash or debit/credit cards.
Absolutely! We will clean and reuse any of our pots, or any standard black nursery pots of any size.
We cannot. We do not accept pre-payment for plants nor do we hold plants for a specified time. Plants are first come, first serve. Please understand that our space is limited and we need to move plants as quickly as possible to make room for new seedlings.
We do! We offer our current plant availability at 25% off to retail nurseries and landscape professionals providing a valid business license. We can also help schools and non-profit organizations with tax exempt status.
